About Us

Open to everyone, Kadampa Meditation Center The Hamptons offers Buddhism and meditation classes, both introductory and in-depth. Meditation prayers are also practiced throughout the month and Buddhist meditation retreats are offered from time to time. Classes take place in our beautiful meditation room and are suitable for people of all levels of interest, from those who seek simple relaxation to those who wish to find lasting inner peace and contentment through following the Buddhist path.

There are many drop-in weekly classes on Buddhism and meditation offered

Drop-in Weekly Classes

The calendar details all of our weekly classes. Other than occasional special events held on weekends, all classes are drop-in and appropriate for everyone, including complete beginners.

We are fortunate to host a number of special guest teachers throughout the year for special workshops

Special Events with Guest Teachers

As part of the New Kadampa Tradition, we are fortunate enough to occasionally host visiting teachers at the center. Check the calendar or our Saturday Workshop page for information.

Our center has a thriving community of people interest in Buddhism and meditation

It's not uncommon for our community to relax after class and enjoy each other's company. This is especially true on weekends when everyone has more time. You are welcome to join too.

Our bookstore sells many of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso's 20 plus books on Buddhism and meditation

Bookstore and a Place to Chat

Feel free to linger after class and discuss the teaching with others over a cup of tea. Or browse the bookstore and pick up one of Geshe Kelsang's books detailing the stages of the Buddhist path.
