Kadam Morten
Kadam Morten Clausen is the Resident Teacher at the Chakrasambara Buddhist Center in New York City and the Vajra Light Buddhist Center in White Plains. For 26 years he has been a close disciple of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, who gave him the title Kadam, indicating that he is a senior lay teacher of the Kadampa Tradition.

Kadam Morten is greatly admired as a meditation teacher and in particular he is known for his clarity, humor and inspirational presentation of Dharma. His teachings are always practical and easy to apply to everyday life. Through his gentle and joyful approach, and his peaceful example, he has helped many people find true happiness in their hearts.

Kadam Star
Kadam Star, is a close disciple of Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, meditation master and author of over 20 books on Buddhism which are considered the most concise explanation of the Buddhist path in the English language.

Star received her training through the Teacher Training Program in the Mahayana tradition. Star has attended extensive teachings and meditation retreats throughout North America and Europe.

Star has worked in the medical field as an administrator at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and has taken many courses there relating to care giving. Star has owned and operated her own businesses.  She now devotes her time to study, practice and teaching dharma.

Kadam Star has traveled worldwide helping to organize Kadampa Buddhist teachings and events.

Star has taught workshops in both the public and private sectors, to corporations as well as in women's prisons

Kadam Star is currently on sabbatical.

Kereen Richards
Kereen Richards grew up in Wales. She studied and worked at Kadampa Buddhist Centers in England for many years and is now living in New York. Kereen is teaching the classes at Vajravarahi Center during Kadam Star's sabbatical. Insightful and humorous, she is appreciated for her clear and articulate presentation of the teachings.
